On a mission to partner with rural communities to enhance their living standards and overcome poverty for a thriving life.

Chemi Chemi Organization (CCO) is a grassroots non-profit in Kenya dedicated to uplifting communities through capacity building and sustainable practices. Our mission focuses on transforming mindsets to help individuals break free from poverty. With a significant youth population in Kilifi County, access to basic rights is crucial. Our initiative, “Breaking the Cycle: The Silent Pandemic, Restoring Futures!” addresses teenage pregnancies stemming from neglect and inadequate sexual health education. We empower young mothers facing poverty and stigma through skills training in dressmaking and vegetable farming, promoting their self-reliance.

“Transforming Minds, Empowering People.” Through the promotion of positive thinking, we strive to shift mindsets and empower individuals to rise above poverty and take charge of their own development.

In 2023, Chemi Chemi Organization collaborated with the Education Seeds Foundation to initiate Bodoi Binti Smart, a program designed to empower teen mothers with essential skills and promote financial independence. We provided 15 young women with business startup kits and food baskets, setting them on the path toward self-reliance. Through personalized mentorship and hands-on coaching, the initiative has yielded impressive results: eight participants were able to double their initial capital in just three months, three enrolled in tailoring courses, and several secured employment or launched their own businesses. These success stories are a testament to our commitment to breaking the cycle of poverty for pregnant teen mothers and fostering sustainable development within the community.
